quick Fluorescent question

Hey,

starting new 10 green spirt dutch passion grow with 1 1000 watt hps. after i germinate, i am planting in stryofoam, i bought a flouresant fixture and 2 40 watt Fluorescent grow tube with 900 lumen output with 6400K color.

Just wondering if this is gonna do me well for the first week to week and a half until introducing to the big boy HPS?

what you know about memphis rap? lol i've been listening to hypnotize minds since like 96 or 97! i have two 4 foot 40 watt T-12 flourescent buls mounted in a normal shop fixture. gotta get the daylight 40 (over 3000 lumes at 6500k) bulbs. got it at walmart for less than $25. Make sure you have a long enough extension cord... mine was only 5 feet long. i would wait a little while on bringing out the HPS. give the plant the higher temperature bulbs (5000-8000k) until it's gotten at least 5 nodes on it (that's when it's considered to have graduated from seedling status) hope that's helped some... i'll try again if you have more

^^right on chicago! ge daylight flo's are extremely excellent; i've only had better vegging results in actual sunlight.

also keep them close to the plant's 2-3 inch's from the top's to keep them from stretching

lord infamous all the way, ive been listenin to that stuff for long as i can remember and still do.. sorry to go off topic but i quit listening to triple six for one reason when they quit using their original name ( triple six mafia and six double six) and secondly because they spoke sooo much about their devil worshiping obseesion and didnt bother to come out with anything new on the date 6/6/06 i was disapointed in how mainstream they've become, they used to make killer original music, not just go with the flow..

sorry to go off topic, 80 watts of flouros should do just fine untill you get into veg state

i always liked crunchy black for some reason... he sounds like he's 50... that would be REAL!!!! frayser boy and lil white are great, but gotta love the old school stuff too. GO GET SOME DAYLIGHT 40 48" by GE!! i planted yesterday morning and suprisingly one is starting to sprout :dance:

hey thanks guys, ordered the flour's, 1000 hps, nutes, pots and seeds yesterday. look for a grow log.

back to the hcp scene! ya they have gotten pretty mainstream for sure. I am defintly a fan of mainly there older shit. other then lord infamus, project pat is the man in my opinion. anyways thanks for the help guys, hope this grow goes swell like its planned.
