One more thing. I've been good friends with this kid for a while who is openly gay and he is one of my best friends in the world (one of my only friends). But anyway, I was over at his house and we were just laughing and talking and there was a point where I felt like I could actually hook up with him. I was cmpletely sober BTW. I've always known I've had some bi feelings but I've never really acted on them but I'm scared that if I do anything I'll screw myself for life because I don't really life in the most gay friendly community. He asked me about it later if I liked him as more than a friend and I said I didn't know. What do you guys think, should I just lay off until I get older or just go for it now and try to be discreet? I know sooner or later I'm probably going to get drunk and hook up with him because that always happens to me with girls but what do you guys think. Should I be scared?

OK, I'm 59, female, straight and I don't even claim to understand being gay. But it seems to me that WHO the person you love IS, as a person, is far more important than what their plumbing is like. Male or female is just the "wrapping on the box"- what's important is what is inside the box. Just remember there is a big difference between love and lust. Love has very little to do with sex... really! If it is love, go for it! If it is just lust on the rebound, it's still OK to go for it, but go a bit slower. Keep your sex safe, no matter who you're with. They may be a sweetie, but you are "going to bed" with every partner that they had that didn't wear a condom. I wouldn't play the odds- STDs are nastier than when I was a kid. Until both of you get tested, use a condom! Sexual preference is a bell curve with 'prefers opposite sex" as the midline "norm" and "prefers males" and "prefers females" as the ends of the curve. If people are honest, most will admit to being attracted at some time in their life to someone of the same sex. Whether they act on it or not, is totally another story. You're young, follow your heart, just be careful! OK?

I have HIV and i got it from my current boyfriend, whom I met on the internet...it does suck, I'll tell you all, boys, girls, gay, straight, it's gonna get you all if you don't BE CAREFUL. I've only had full blown sex with this one guy, and he's the one I got it from. It's like playing russian roulette if you don't do something to protect yourself, for real. (like, say, USE A CONDOM.) but I was so hardheaded and thought that i was so invincible that it would just NEVER happen to me, well hell, now look...one year into it...here I am back on the cannabis.com boards going from a little cocky pothead asshole to trying to say something positive (pun intended)...

listen I'm not trying to get pity or anything, this isn't about me, i'm just fine thankya, but I would rather gripe for a few minutes than young guys like this poster, and like me, to end up at the dead end rather than the loop to the rest of the world.

it happens every fucking day. and it makes me sicker than most of you could imagine. believe me. please guys, wear a damn condom, and be responsible with it and MAKE SURE IT STAYS ON YOUR DICK the whole time. then otherwise, there's not much else you can do, and therefore you can feel comfortable having sex and not worry about all this hype that i've ranted about...i'm in this situation because i elected to not use a condom, and it's just as much MY fault as it is HIS fault...and i'm also in this situation so that i can tell you all that are questioning things and experimenting that you really do need to be careful, and it's not just scare tactics.

BY THE WAY, a condom feels SO MUCH BETTER if you lube it up on the outside AND on the inside. just put a little dab of lube in that pocket at the end before you put it on, and press out the air from the pocket as you start to slide it on, and that's the proper way to wear the raincoat...and keep a check on it once in a while, just to keep it all the way on you...it's kinda good to look down once in a while anyways right...

I will not post my age due to probable flaming etc..
But the age diffrence is 5 and a half years.. when he was 5 i was born and so on..But he has gotten on cam so i do know what he looks like and that what he said was indeed true..and he has seen me on cam etc.. we know what eachother look like.. i dont look my age i look older.. so thats that..But thanks for all the advice people..helped me out.. i think ill play it smooth untill i know everything is true

Hey, loving another person and getting that love back is the best thing you can do in this life. Love of friends, love of family, or romantic love...
Sex doesn't have to enter into it, but when you feel comfortable, then of course!!
