Does the color of the bud really matter?

that doesnt hold to true, purple buds do, but theres a difference between purple buds and purple strains...purple buds can be acheived by sticking a flowerring plant out in the cold the last 2 weeks before harvest, it loses its cholorphil color (green) and i forget what the natural chemical is called that makes it purple but im pretty sure the production of thc in the triche ceases so the plant can put ass its focus on keeping it self alive in the cold...

purple strains however come naturally purple and grand daddy purple and purple erkle are ammoung the most potent strains ive ever tried
