*Is my seedling retarded?

Haha my seed just popped out of the ground. but like with all my others from long ago, they just went up. this seed is laying down on its side still spliting while the stem is still healthy looking. Its weird. Is there anything that i can do to make the seed get off the ground? grr its so hard to explain. i doubt that was enough information but i hope yall can still help. Awful pic is attached for me camera sucks.

No ur right it isnt a great pic...but what it uve made it sound like is that the seed is above the soil an its startin to sprout yes? well if thats what you ment the seed shouldnt jus sit on top of the soil cos the roots cant get a descent grip an start suckin' up all the newts it needs try placin it a few mm under the soil 4 - 5 doesnt have to be exact...give that a go an see what happens..also what kinda soil are you using is it jus out the back garden or bought?? if its from your garden it could be high or to low ph levels an doesnt have any newts so you could trying moving it into some proper soil..other than that im stumped...

it seems to be doing fine now that ive put a stick next to it to strenghthen the stem. yeah the soil is from outside. i like growing outside so i put some outsideness into the inside. but its not the soil. great grows in the soil im using. thanks for ur reply!
