No WoW here, but I played EverQuest from beta 3 in 1998 until early this year. But I quit playing seriously last year, and started selling off all my stuff, made about nine grand selling off all my virtual goodies, took eight months to sell it all. Nine grand! That easily paid for all my subscription costs over the years. I guess I made money, really, although considering the number of hours I played over those years, the hourly wage was pretty pathetic.
