Nor do I, but sometimes you have to take a 'realistic' view of the way things are, and the way things are going to be for a while. The Dem's, although many are more conservative this election, will someday grow more liberal as our society slowly loosens up. Then, other parties like the Green party will actually have a chance. Until our society starts embracing more liberal ideas, they will never have a chance of being elected, which is why I think, the Dem's are the best choice we have to work with. A vote for Green is a Replican vote in my eyes.

and i dont think democrats are better, yeah i agree with more of their stances on issues, but not all, and it is more about the person to me, the last two democrat governors we have had here have both been very very corrupt.

Tell me this, If you voted Green would they have won? Or, if I voted Green would it have made a difference. Is it possible for Green to control the House, or Senate for that matter? Or, if every Green supporter voted Green, could they have even made a dent in the elections that are dominated by Dem's and Rep's?

I understand what you're saying, suhl. I just don't agree with it. Our society is far too conservative right now for a Green party vote to to do anygood.

Someday...YES! I think so, but not now; we have to work with what we got, imo.

as an anarchist i find the concept of voting rather sad. the choice between two forms of corruption is no choice at all. on the rep side we have the hawkish mentality with a bit of "the rich get richer, the poor get poorer" thrown in; just the same old reactionary bull shit over and over again. on the dem side we have taxes through the roof, out of control dead end social programs and (most likely) blanket amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants. there is no middle ground, there is no sanity, there's not even a whit of intelligence. socialism leads to tyranny, communism is unworkable on a large scale, and democracy is a cruel joke. but what the hell do i know, as an atheist i feel pretty much the same way about god. so kiddies; go ahead and vote, go ahead and pray. the outcome is about the same for either vice.....

Democrats, Republicans, Green Party, etc... NONE of them respresent all of my views. No one party can. But I vote for Democrat candidates because they are the closest ones that hold my own personal views. I would vote for a Republican if that one candidate were better than any of the others. It's not about which party they're in for me, it's about the best person fit for the job. I have voted for a third party before, but let's be realistic... most of the time, these parties will not be elected into office, most do not even have a chance. That's the simple truth.

And until that third party can get out and educate the country's entire population, we will continue to be a two party system. That's the problem. The American population is lazy, they're ignorant and stupid (at times) when it comes to politics. The only things they are fed day after day is bi-partisan politics. Two. That's it. They don't see anything else. It sucks, yes.. I wish it were different. But until then, I will continue to vote for candidates that support my views, but ALSO have a chance at winning. When I see polls or reports that a third party is doing great, I'll vote that way if I see fit.

But voting is a civic duty.. that's the only way things will change. Yeah, it may take time to get around to having third party candidates recognized in a state/national race with a chance at winning.. you may have to vote for a lesser of two evils at some point.. but voting is something that should be done by all Americans. If you don't vote, you have no right to complain or bitch about the politics in this country.

Lol, personally, there's no way I can settle for 'the lesser of two evils'. Everything would still be corrupt and evil, so how's that changing anything but the names on the desks? And although some people believe that 'every vote matters', how the hell did Dubbya receive fewer votes and walk into the White House? If we want change, it has to come from within. People getting out and voting independent will not change shit. Someone up in the ranks, be it state or country, has to start the revolution. - - Just my two cents, but it doesn't make sense to vote for one assclown or the other, or waste it and vote ind. when I might as well keep my vote to myself. Where's good ole' honest Abe when we really need him? ~
