Pink Floyd poll

Floyd is a good band, especially when Syd Barrett was at the helm. I wouldn't consider them in my top 10, but I could imagine a brilliant live show on acid. Too bad, I'll never have the opportunity to experience them live.

I saw Roger Waters last month and lemme tell you guys.. one of the best live shows I've ever seen. It was nice seeing a part of Pink Floyd. His band was excellent.. sounded great.

But if we're talking rock n roll bands.. nobody gets better than Zeppelin, the Stones, Who, Doors, Cream. As Nochowder said, Floyd and Zep are just in two different categories of rock. It's hard to compare them. Floyd is psycedelic, more progressive rock.. using exotic sounds and rhythms to define their music. Zep is straight up rock and roll, no bullshit about it.. you know it when you hear it. They ROCK, literally. I could listen to Pink Floyd anytime of the day, but yes, sometimes the music is just better in 'that' mindset.. aka, being high.
