    boiling buds

Ive been thinking... since delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol isn't water soluble, would it be possible to boil buds to the point of activating the THC, then being able to eat them for an effect?

well what i think might happen is that the thc would be released in with the hot steam from the boiling water. in which case you could devise a top for the pot so that you could take hits off it. im not really sure. but the thc's gotta go somewhere

Don't inhale steam. It will rape your lungs and you will die. Steam is way hotter than boiling water. It reacts faster or something. Just be careful.

no, not to make an inhaleable substance, what I want to do is activate the THC within the buds and have it stay there, so I can eat the buds to get baked

yea i know what you were asking im just saying that i think the thc might get released with the steam, instead of stay in the buds. to be honest, i have no idea

You would need something to saturate the thc. Which is why when baking you need butter or something to saturate the thc when it's activated.

well, I was thinking that since there was nothing to saturate the THC, it would just stay in the buds...

Like what was said earlier, the thc will most likely escape through the heat vapors, which is pretty much vaporizing it.

at best i would imagine that some of the thc would stay in the bud but activated enough it could have an effect, but that would be the best you could probably hope for, because once the goodies are released if there's nothing to catch them, they float away.
