Advice for my setup?
Okay, last grow was interrupted by my stepfather and his weed-killer, but it is now time for me to start again. I figured that while they're under six or seven inches, I can keep them sitting in their cups in the bottom of the bucket, allowing light reflection. Once they are bigger I plant to get a 50 gallon white trash can and use that to place them in. Hopefully it'll work like that..and once again I'm keeping it cheap. CFL's and miracle grow. I don't feel like spending more money at the moment, so I'll deal with the lower yield or whatever..their cost is well worth the sacrifice. Next question being..while they're in seedling stage is a 23w 6500k CFL sufficient? I believe it's 1750 some lumens..it's what I have over top in the picture, and this is the third day from this little one's sprouting from soil. I figure rather than messing with mylar or something, I can use the bucket/trash can in achieving light reflection, correct? hmm..I forgot if there was anything else that I was going to say..:stoned:

i would be pushing a little more wattage and i definately wouldn't be using miracle grow. read the chemicals on the back of the miracle grow and those are what you are going to be smoking. natural fertilizer is not that expensive and will result in higher quality buds.

Cool ghetto setup
I would also have to agree on putting a higher watt bulb in there.. Also please get rid of the miracle grow, especially if it's not the organic type!

I'll see what I can do about fertilizer...it's going to be a while before I'll be feeding them anyways. I added a 26w cfl..so light should be good now?

Yeah that should be good for now, how many plants do you have in there...?
What I ment was make sure that MG isn't already fertilized with time released nutrients or what ever it is..

Right now I've only got two...the seeds I had germinating my mom threw away because for some reason a paper towel inside a bag looks like trash..but #2 is working it's way out of the soil.
