Agreed, a lot of the younger here are quite intelligent. Just read some of the posts made by the one's you mentioned. Orangeman looks much younger in his pic I think.

To be honest, I left here because of the 'bs' posts made by many the kids, then I realized that they're the ones who really keep this place interesting. Well, some of them, others are beyond my mental capacity.

Why the gnawing desire to see us post our ages? I've posted mine before. I'm 42, retired as of this year, a former independent software vendor. I'm educated, I've travelled the world, I speak three languages (albeit one not very well). Blah blah blah. So what? That doesn't make me better or worse than anyone here, does it?

We're all who we are, for better or for worse. Rather than dwell on the negatives, why not focus on the positives? There will ALWAYS be assholes and idiots in the world, on this site and elsewhere. But like any slice of humankind, this slice has plenty of good in it: people overcoming tough obstacles, kids more mature than you'd expect for their ages, compassionate people, people who inspire, people with artistic talent in one form or another, people with a sense of humor, and on and on.

But you're still young at 28. At that age, I didn't really see clearly all the good that's in the world. Sometimes the bad can cloud your vision and make you overlook the good. As I've grown older, that's changed, and while I still SEE the bad in the world, it doesn't prevent me from seeing and, more importantly, focusing on the good.

Also, when you post something saying that you don't like the X people who aren't as intelligent as you, you're patting yourself on the back, which people find distasteful. And ya know what? It's stupid to even start that comparison game at all, because there will always be people who are smarter than you, or stronger than you, or better-looking than you, or wealthier than you, or whatever. Always. And would you like them looking down their noses at YOU? Karma will find you, man.

I was merely pointing out the irony of someone who either missed third grade or slept through it calling other people mental midgets. That's like Kate Moss telling the Olsen twins they're too skinny. If you don't see the irony there, then you also must have missed the fourth grade.

I do agree that there are a lot of young kids probably hanging out in Recreational...that's why I, along with most mature people, usually post here in the Lounge. But, this dude definitely belongs over at the Rec threads..he just fits in there sooo perfectly where he can E-taunt and E-bully the high school freshman.
