I immediately bought a lot of cranberry juice and have been drinking about a gallon a day. I also bought some high-fiber foods and a bottle of niacin pills since I have also read they might have an impact. I might *gasp* start to excercise as well to help speed the process up. I'm quite confident in the dilution method as it helped me pass a test less than 48 hours after I had smoked last year, but I would rather be totally clean since this job is really important to me.
Diuretics do not increase the rate at which your body gets rid of THC. Diuretics will dilute the concentration of THC in your urine because the THC metabolite level will stay the same but the water increases and this drops the concentration. You really can't use diuretics to pass a lab test because some actually test for diuretics and they also do validty testing to make sure the urine is not dilute (specific gravity, creatinine clearance).

Drinking lots of fluid days before the test will not clean you out faster. It will not increase the rate at which your kidneys filter the THC metabolites from the body. Cranberry juice is said to be good for the kidneys but it really doesn't help them clear metabolites faster. It can't hurt so if you want to force feed yourself cranberry juice go ahead.

Niacin is a myth. Some people swear by this but most of them are also drinking a lot of water on the day of their test so they are also diluting. It can't hurt so knock yourself out.

Aerobic exercise is one of the only ways to help rid your body of THC metabolites. Stop 3-5 days before the test though or else the extra metabolites you burn up will end up in the cup.

Soluble fiber can help a little. Some THC metabolites are eliminated through bile. Soluble fiber binds to bile and your body is forced to make and release more bile into the GI tract, which helps eliminate more metabolites. This is a minimal effect but it can help. Best source of soluble fiber is Metamucil. Try to take about 10 grams a day of soluble fiber.
