Look where a girl that's against weed got Paul McCartney.

I'm not even indulging very much these days, but a woman has to accept me as I am - pot or no pot, at home or at a party. If they can't do that, then they aren't the right person to be with.

'The Girl' sounds like 'The Law'.

Sorry man, but me personally, no matter how much 'we love each other', there's no way I could quit something like smoking. If she truly loves ME, every part of me, there's no way she could just hold that against me. I can't compromise such a large part of what I am for anything/anyone. That wouldn't be true to myself. All she would have to do is look at the mother fucking facts. - My girl, where ever she is, would at least have a head to make notice and take them in. -

I couldn't unconditionally love anyone that didn't accept me for me. I wouldn't be me without smoking. Not that I can't go without it, but I don't think I'd be MYSELF without it. I know that sounds bad, but it's tough to explain. I wouldn't be as happy, fullfilled, maybe? That's just my extended two cents though. If she makes you happy, and you can't bare to wake up and she's not there, you're set man. To each their own, and cheers. ~

congrats man. screw all the self-protective whiny bitches on this thread, you've got a right to pursue happiness. Any one who thinks they're completed by a bowl and a bag of dorritos hasn't expanded their horizons. Best of luck.

Thanks for hastily generalizing smoking to 'a bowl and a bag of dorritos' chief. What was that about expanding horizons?

I'm all for happiness, believe that, but I would hope that being happy -truly happy- means NOT compromising or 'settling' ? Maybe that's just me.

Dude, I wasn't even attempting to refer to you. Way to take offense at anything. Freudian?
As for true happiness, I can only assume it's true when it comes from within. So you shouldn't need something else, be it another person or a substance to be "truly happy".
Having said that, I'm glad moeburn's found something to make him happy.

Chill out Plant, no one's going to make you put down the pipe...

Whipped already huh bud? Too bad for you man, more weed for us. Next she'll be taking your paycheque when you get home, then you have to ask permission to sue the bathroom, and then at dinner time, forget dinner in front of TV, you sit at the dinner table, and you know what you do there? You talk about your day! My day was good today, how was your day today, my day was good, it was a good day, etc.....

Manmade prisons I tell ya. I guess I'm glad to be single for right now.

Geez guys, women aren't that psycho.
If he is willing to quit weed for a girl, than maybe his life isn't as consumed with weed like ours? Is that necassarily a bad thing? Whats wrong with just being a social smoker? I mean shit...I think it is a really great thing for you do do that for your girl, because she obviously made an effort for you, and a relationship after all is a 2 person job.
If you feel that you would rather choose a girl over weed, I don't think there is anything wrong with that. In fact, some might find it sad that people are even arguing that weed is better than love
I myself don't know if I could have a boyfriend who didn't smoke, but you know, I might be willing to compromise if the relationship was important to me.
    Good for you!
...and to all you other guys jumping up his ass, just realize...we are not all the same, just because thats how he wants to live his life doesn't mean its going to be bad. It doesn't mean this woman is a psycho controlling bitch, she just obviously has issues with too much pot smoking. I am really baked right now so I don't know where I was going with this, but I will say, just let people live their lives man. We are not all the same...
