    Anyone ever use led lights?

there is a thread somwhere that goes into a bit of detail on this if you do a search for it...quite interesting

i think the general idea was that its not economicly viable to use led's at the moment, though i think in time it will be much more practical.

of corse it is it uses no electric puts outs tons of luminas in the light spectrum of your choiceand doesn't cause heat so it can be close as hell. only draw back is it cost like pretty much. i just wondered if anyone has done it before.

They are very good, the price kinda sucks tho, especially since they are cheap to make. cheaper than an HID to manufacture.

The LEDs produce only the colors of light in the spectrum that the plants needs , NASA has been doing research on the effects of this and has had great results. i belkieve 1 light bar is = to a 250 Watt HID.
