    flowering growth. HELP PLS

    Hi,
I was under the impression plants don't really grow once put in to their flowering stage as they put all their energy in2 producing buds..

.. but now I've been doing some more reading and some sites reckon plants grow the most in the first 10 days of flowering..?

I'm worried coz one of my tall girl is already nearly touching the ceiling of my small grow room.. and I've just put the ladies into 12/12 after 3 months veging.

will she grow much more now she's flowering? Is this gunna cause problems?

    Please help.

depending on the strain a plant can double to triple in height in flowering...

Better start tying if they're alread touching the ceiling

Yikes, if you're close to your ceiling before flowering, you are gonna have some probs, because they grow quite a lot for the first 2-3 weeks of flowering. Plant I have, probably similarly-sized as yours, grew a foot in the first 9 days of flowering, and I stopped keeping track after that but it grew a fair bit more beyond that, maybe another foot.

Bugger... so can anyone suggest how I would go about tieing this baby down?

What'll happen if I don't do anything and just let her go?

    See photos..

    advice would be good.

Hook a twist-tie loosely around that tallest stalk near the top, then tie some yarn to the twist-tie and bend the stalk over and tie it down. Don't snap it off, but bend it over as far as you can without snapping it. Then each day tighten the string or yarn and bend it down a little more. Repeat that process with any other stalks that look to get too tall on you. Once you make it through the first 2-3 weeks of flowering you can relax a bit more, as it shouldn't grow much vertically after that.

    Thanks for the advice dude.

So what'll happen if I don't tie her down?

Won't she relise she's run out of room? Am i just not maximizing my yield?

nxt time I'll start flowering earlier.

Id read that they dont grow much when put into flowering too and mine didnt. It must depend on the strain. Mine seem to continue to grow for about a week or so but then they stop or at least slow right down. You might not have a problem just have t see what happens with em

Your plants will stop going vertically when you see their nodes start to grow really close together. By the look of your plant, It will continue to grow upwards unless you tie it down. Tie the top of the main stem and bend it as low as you can without breaking the plants stem. You can lower it each day and you will see the plant tops and leaves begin to turn upwards towards the light. I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your grow and harvest  . Keep Em Green Bro...
