That all depends on what kind of rockets they are. Those little dinky ones that are really no more than a stick with a small rocket engine are crap. They're not even worth the pocket change they cost.

In New Mexico they sell some of these boxes that contain a complete miniature fireworks display in one prefabricated package. They're expensive, but if you like fireworks, that's what you need to stock up on.

A couple years ago on Independance Day I was at this huge party,
rich, had an entire orchestra playing shitty music and whatnot,
anyway, I had brought some random fireworks with me.

One of the peculiarities was a strange bulbous red firework, looked like a tulip head, real fat, I had no idea what it was. So we're all standing in the street lighting shit off, and it's the last of them, and of course it's the unknown mystery firework.
I set it on the ground, light it, and in sudden hind-sight fear, start running my ass off screaming Get back get bacK! My friends had about 3 seconds to turn around and duck when this thing pops like 5 feet in the air, and fucking explodes. I have about .5 seconds to whip my head around enough to see about 8 purple orbs of light shoot inches above everyones head. Afterwards, we all couldn't hear or see, the ground was covered in a thick layer of smoke, but eventually the happy excited yells of my friends slowly trickled back into my head. It was a good ending to a bad party.
And then the fire department came.
