In my heart of hearts, I cannot deny that I believe in God. I also think evil is needed right now, it's obvious that many people see evil in the world and are disgusted by it. Why does evil exist? I think so we might learn from it, and better ourselves as we progress as a species.

The fact that Evil exists, doesn't bother me; the people that try to put fear in my heart do.

But good and evil are all relative terms. To some, cannabis is evil but to most of us here it is a good, eye opening drug. And second, you have to have a ying to the yang otherwise there is no yang (substitute ying w/ bad ang yand with good). If there were no suffering, there would be no happiness. I personally don't believe in god but this is a very strong case for him. The idea that our whole reality is so infinately perfect and controlled... But then again, our reality is the only reality we know so we have no basis of comparison. Imagine say, that there were billions of gods who made billions of universe. We'd have no idea wether or not our universe was the shittiest one there or not. But since we have no basis of comparison, our univers, our reality, seems so infinately perfect and complex.

The word of god was written by man but inspired by God. God put the words in their heart and they put the words on paper. God used man to write his word. The scriptures are the words God chose, not man. There are so many things in the bible that wouldn't be possible for man to know. The bible is super natural. The bible is the owners manual that comes with your life.

Man ruining the bible is a bunch of BS. Every word of God is pure and still perfect. His words are not for private interpretation, but rather comparing scripture with scripture. If you want to say that religion twisted the word of God, then I'll buy it.

Amen. You show those religous sheep whose boss! You don't follow a religion, your religion should follow you. The bible is not the truth but it has good ideas. Think about it, in Sunday school, at church, who told you that Jesus was lord? Man. Who do you sit and pray with during your bible studies? Men. Jesus is like a drug. The truly religious people know about what I'm talking about. That feeling they get when they feel that Jesus or God has touched them? On the outside, it's easy to see how foolish and blown out of proportion the whole concept of organized religion is but to those on the inside, it is an addiction that they have been conviced is OK by other addicts. I'm not saying to stop believeing in God. Just don't try to be so self rightous and do not DO NOT try to impose you're religion on others. Spread the good news means to simply give information, not tell people that they are going to hell. The vast majority of Christians make me sick but there are still people sensible enough to have faith but not be fanatical. To realize that the whole purpose of Christianity is to make the world a better place.
