What happens if put straight into flowering from seed?
Just wondering if any one knows what happens to a plant if you put it in flowering mode from day 1? I've only got a warm white 2700k light and i smashed my 6400k and out of cash. Will the plant be small like a dwarf plant and/or will it decrease the yield or will it be ok to grow with? piece:stoned:

Worst case scenario...just use the 2700k lights as veg lights until it grows to right height. Use the 2700k 18/6 then just drop it down to 12/12 when you have grown the plant to sufficient height. I would advise against setting it to 12/12 from the get-go, if that is what you are talking about. The light change is what causes them to flower so you need a change...good luck.

I don't even konw what a marijuana plant looks like, though, so don't take my word for it.
Be cool.

The plant will stretch, and may stress. It wont flower straight away, it'll veg on 12/12 untill its mature enough to flower, and then it'll start to preflower, and then go on to flower. You'll get popcorn buds, small yeild and a stretched plant... and maybe hermies too.
When the plant is mature enough to flower, it'll measure the un-interuppted dark cycle which will release a flowering hormone.
It's best to grow a plant properly.
Also, judging by your name, if our growing LR's you'll be wasting your time. As you probably knows, they are auto flowering, if you put them into 12/12 you'll just decrease the yeild dramaticly, the lowest you want to go is 16/ 8

cheers for info.
I'm growing northern lights. I figured if it only cost me £10 for the seeds i mite as well experiment. I'm still out of cash, it goes as soon as pay day comes around. The space i'm growing in isn't very big when it comes to height so duno, i'll jus see wot happens :smokin:

o yeh, there is a lowryder, its the one on the right
If currently got it under 18/6 so when i'm satisfied with the height of NL should i reduce it to 12/12?

the height will probably double between the time you switch to 12/12 and harvest time. so if you don't have much space you might want to consider LST or ScroG. Both of these methods allow you to grow more weed in less vertical space.
-pAnd God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
