    24/0 or 18/6?

I've used 24/0 and it works fine, but I've heard people say that the plants don't grow noticably faster than 18/6, so if you're using high wattages it makes sense to use 18/6 to save electricity, otherwise 24/0 should be fine.

    24/0 or 18/6?

24/0 is good for early seedlings, I agree.. but there is a point where the plant needs to be in a more natural veg. Being, 18/6.

It's really personal preference, but 24/0 to late into the plants life can make it hermie.

    24/0 or 18/6?

I'd try to imitate the outdoors as much as I could if I were doing an indoor grow. So I'd probably just go for 18/6 just because, and also it would save a few dollars .

    .

I think we need to take "natural conditions" with a pinch of salt.
Theres not much natural about breeding strains that have 20% THC anyway.

A bodybuilder isn't a natural condition, but by exaggerating all the conditions that we now know create muscle, we can create ultimate overblown muscles.
Theres not much natural about creating incredibly fast sprinters, but since we now know which traits, if exaggerated for hours every day through a very tough training and nutrition program, we create faster humans than ever before etc etc etc.

Noone is trying to create a pretty, happy little plant here, we're all (most of us) trying to create the biggest muscle monsters we can, using what we now know through science.

24 is what im using and check out my plants at a month old ~ http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=87140 plants do not need darkness in veggatative and that extra 1/4 of energy will show on your plants, but will also show on your bill. its just a matter of how fast you want your grow to be and how much electricity your willing to use.
Yes im a ganja planter, call me di ganja farmer, deep down inna di earth where me put di ganja, babylon come and light it up on fire ~ Marlon Asher

Okay thanks guys...I have just floro tubes and some cfl's right now, so I don't think I have a problem with the electric bill...but heat maybe since it grow is in furnace room...and BobBong, that makes sense since they are growing so much in the latter stages of vegetative growth (or so it seems, since I haven't done it yet HA)...

24/0 is GREAT for the first 7 days, after that, 18/6. Simple as. They're plants, and indoor grow op's are mimicing the real natural outdoor environment, so really, 18/6 is obviously the first choice. Even with CFL's.. 18/6 is better IMO, simply because it gives the plant a nice rest, like they'd get in the real world.
