What about the light from the moon? stars? There's technically a small amount of light even at the latest hours of the night.
Kind princess has shown that you can flower without total darkness and when i grew i had light leaks but did not hermie. To make a plant go hermie you need to actively interupt the light cycle, fool it into thinking the day has begun and then turn it back off.. This done for about a week every night will begin to hermie a plant.

If the green light is being used only as a safety light when you need to enter the room at night. Then that is fine.. just don't use it unless you have to is all.
