So i've been trying to figure out if marijuana destroys brain cells. Usually i'll get pretty burnt out for a few days after smoking but then i'll be pretty much back to normal, and i was arguing with someone today saying that is doesn't do brain damage. So, how exactly does marijuana effect your brain and does it destroy cells?

No it doesn't 'kill brain cells'...that's just propaganda...it just tickles them. How would it do brain damage...people smoke thier entire lives, and their brain's are the same as every elses.

they had munkeys smoke a bitch load of bud in an enclosed area and compared their brain cell count to a munkey who has never smoked. the one that smoked the weed had a smaller amount. however what people don't seem to see is that the munkey didn't loose the brain cells due to weed, but because of oxygen depravtion. there wasn't enough oxygen getting to its brain which caused it to loose brain cells. WEED DOESN'T MAKE YOU LOOSE BRAIN CELLS, people who preech it do.

Look even if some brain cells are lost it is certainly no more than would be lost from a night of drinking. There is nothing to worry about. We have a bunch and some of them will die. You do not have to worry about killing so many that you can no longer talk.

Yeah course you lose brain cells but you lose brains cells if you hit yourself in the head. Decide how much you like pot and approach it with moderation at the forefront.

Idk what it does. Back before I started smoking I was doing fine in school, and I could pay attention all class. That was 6th grade. Now I'm in 9th and I find myself dozing off when the teacher is talking, and my grades have gone down.


I think the grade part is just school getting harder, but i really don't know about the dozing off part.

you might have ADD. a prescription for adderall could make all the difference.

No, cannabis does NOT kill brain cells. It does kill cancerous cells i believe. How does it affect your brain? Well, the thc is absorbed, the thc receptors in your brain are activated, you get high. It does not make you dumb...
