Tobacco a relatively safe form of pest control?
tobacco juice is an old home remedy for insect problems ... it should be safe enough .. ? ... I dont use it ... I use the 'chemical' insecticides you can buy at any nursery or hardware store ... IF you buy the ones that are safe for Fruits and Vegetables, you're set ... quite often, they use a scary-sounding chemical called 'Pyrethrins' ... oooh, scary-sounding, isn't it ? ...
, it's actually an active ingredient from crocus-flowers, and marigolds, that bugs don't like (I can't stand the odor of a marigold, either
) ... in fact, planting marigold flowers around your outdoor garden keeps most insects, and sometimes even rabbits, etc, out of your garden ... insecticides that are safe for edible foods, break down into harmless compounds after a few days ... don't be afraid ... :smokin:
