I've never seen an ophthalmologist online here, SmokingMonkey, and gosh, I'm sorry about your retinal vein hemorrhage. Did you by any chance go ahead and ask the doctor who treated you? (I think I already know the answer to this because I've read your opinion on this subject before.) You could also call up an ophthalmologist and just ask like you were asking for someone else or out of medical curiosity as a future dentist. I assume the dilation of perhipheral vessels could probably be responsible for that, but I have a friend who has sudden retinal leaks for no reason whatsoever. It just happens to her.

I have an idea! He's out of town right now, but my sister's neuro-ophthalmologist, who deals a lot with folks who have metastisized cancer affecting their brains/eyes (and whose patient population also includes people using medical MJ) might be a good one to ask. He's also very nice and open-minded about MJ. When he's back after next holiday week, I'll be happy to ask him.

I feel like the onset of my condition was coincident with marijuana use. So that's one question. The other question is, can marijuana aggravate retinal detachment? Hope there's an eye doctor in the house. Rating: 5
