need outdoor strain for 2007

need opinions on what strain to use in 07- i live in a mountain area and this year had hard freezes in the middle of October- i would like a strain that is no more then 6 feet tall and will mature before the end of October- had to harvest before fully mature due to temperatures- i like smoke with good flavor and aroma, the kind that makes your taste buds water when you open the jar- also good dense buds - all suggestions will be appreciated- oh yeh what seed house to purcahse from that will be no prob to get here into th USA

anything that isnt sativa, sativa takes forever to fully flower, and grows around 12ft high sometimes, use indica plants, and top them during early vegg. stage, if you dont know how search the forums for 'topping troubles' i done it myself so if there is something you need help with ask me there, okay? good luck clovis

Hey Clovisman, if you can get someone to send you some local Alaskan stash seeds, the strains up there have a rep for being fast, burly, and cold tolerant.

I just got a few that are MTF or MTF derivatives and just popped them, but the whole idea was exactly what you're saying, looking for next year's hardy outdoor.

What about Matanuska Tundra, Early Riser, ...?
After all, an ice mummy needs his frost-tolerant strain!

I want to get some matanuska tundra, lol mountain weed! I want to grow it out as tall as possible, maybe even have a mother plant for clones, i heard its got a real chocolatey taste, and i definatly like chocolate

Hey AB, I'm saving my MTF males to do a cross with my Chocolate Chunk female when she's ready to breed. I got her as a cutting so no males, too bad, but one of my breeding goals is to get a chocolate-spice flavored hardy plant. I'll let you know how it goes.

Yea and they dont really yeild to much bud either.

Heavy Duty Fruity, one of the top yeilders known and plus it smells like fuity pebbles. But be carefull when it flowers, because the buds get sooo massive that they actually sometimes start to rott fromt he inside because no sun gets to it.
