If you want to have even a small glimmer of hope for successfully living that way, I suggest you read "The Self-Sufficient Life And How To Live It" by John Seymour.

However, you're probably not serious enough to actually go that far. It's a lot of hard work, and you have to educate yourself in the skills necessary to not only survive, but thrive, self-sufficiently.

I'm happy no one has just dismissed this as the stupidest idea they ever heard. Thats what most of the people I tell that in person do two things: laugh and say "alllright".

I mean everyone REALLY accepts money as a necessary means for survival. I just don't want to have to rely on such a ridiculous system.
