Captin Reviewed by Captin on 11-03-2006. my bong is finished i found a nice vase while out shopping and couldnt help but imagine the bong this could be, its super heavy duty glass 1/4inch thick and about 24" high all she needed was a hole drilled for a downstem. well this was easy as i work in a machine shop and all tools i needed were there, all i used was a simple drill bit and a drill press and drilled my hole, then went to the headshop and got a simple downstem/bowl setup to get me going for now. plan on upgrading the bowl later but man is this Rating: 5

My first bong looked exactly like that. To the tee. When you removed the downstem, it had that same crude little hole in it. I think mine was a cheaper version of the spring glass bong collection, which have bongs that look almost identical to that one, and I remember another member, I believe it was oneironaut, had a bong that looked similar to yours is well. These were all store-bought. Again, I'm not calling you a liar because I personally don't know, but the facts that I know for certain are true lean against you a little.

Then again, I'll go out on a limb and believe you because I have nothing to lose if I don't. It's just easier this way, and in the end, what the hell does it matter anyways? Maybe you discovered the secret behind some bong-makers, they just buy them as vases first.

Alright he has a little more credibility with me,but still not a smoking gun...

Note the angle of the stem and the scratchs... the angle on the blue one is close to 90° which shows an amateur was involved in the making,the scratches could be intentional and merely for show...

I wouldn't go and spend money buying 3 other bongs just to prove that I made one. I believe Invision. I'm going to look for one and make one too. And when I do, I will give arial shots, in the process shots, the remains from the glass drilling (glass bits), etc. LOL.

And I would imagine it would be extremely difficult to drill anything other than a 90 degree angle into a glass sphere.

Good job. Go make those others into bongs too and sell them to your friends...OR sell them to friends of friends for more! :thumbsup:

Edit: From going back and looking at the 2 pics Skink posted, I guess if you drill a little higher on the sphere...you would be able to get a better angle into the water well. :twocents:
