One of the professors friends was in class that day heard the script and asked if he minded if he made it into a short film for festivals. He asked me to read it and I thought it was really good, so he asked if I wanted to audition for a perticular roll, one which he said he's been having trouble casting. that sucks, the only way I'd kiss a guy friend of mine is if I was guaranteed to get some punani afterwards, with like 3 girls at once.


To the thread starter, Honestly, if you want to be an actor, I think you have the right approach in it's just "kissing someone you're unattracted to". It's not even like it's a real kiss anyways, just out your lips together and mumble, it's not like you're gonna slip the guy tongue.

Now my when my g/f read the script she freaked out so I told her I wouldn't do it, but I still think she is over reacting a little bit. Granted this is for a student film that will likely never even make it to a film festival and will simply go into reels for future projects... I'm just wondering what other views are on a m/m kiss on film.

WOW, she REALLY is overreacting...I've heard of guys being uncomfortable in many many many situations like this one dude, but NEVER a girl. I've known one girl who ever had anything negative to say about gay guys, and she's the biggest fuckin hillbilly I've met to this date, moreso than the boys that used to pick on me.

I'm glad to see, though, that things are starting to change and that str8 guys are starting to at least understand, if not advocate, homosexuality and the freedom to just be yourself.

Let's put it this way, I'm the most jealous partner that anyone has ever had, and I wouldn't mind at ALL if my b/f were in a film where he had to kiss a girl. I'm not insecure in that sense because I KNOW my boyfriend is gay and doesn't want a girl (anymore, though he was married once). That proposition must have made her question your sexuality, which is ridiculous, because why would you be WITH her if you really wanted to kiss a man in real life, right?

Also, think about Tom Hanks, Kurt Russell, or any straight actor guy for that matter....they all do movies where romance takes place between them and a WOMAN...how do their wives/girlfriends deal with that? And there's no question of sexuality there, that's just plain out doing what you do in real life on the screen...but their girls deal with it somehow...

Point is, it's just acting, and your g/f should wipe that sand out of her oyster. :dance:

lol Yeah for starters you have to only be attracted to men....
You could go round kissing, sucking and fucking every guy willing to let you...it doesn't mean your gay....although thats possibly the most extreme way of explaining it...but you get the point...it's like being attracted to women...only it's men.

To be honest I think you should do it...not many guys would be willing to do it. If you are I say go for it!

OK I'm reading a lot of "how to tell if you're gay" advice, when I'm PRETTY sure this guy is PRETTY SURE he's not gay. that's all cliche and shit (I realize the word cliche is cliche in itself). he's just venting because he has an insecure girlfriend who hasn't quite figured out men yet...but she's on the right track... dude just ignore all those gay gay gay comments, and just know that your g/f is alright, although a little judgemental...and if she can't accept that there's something you really want to do, then you might want to rethink your situation, but if it REALLY doesn't matter that much to you, then I see nothing wrong with forgetting about it, because I'm "married" and I know that I have to let go of a lot of shit everyday, and we never go to bed mad at each other. I think that's key to making it work. But just don't give up what you really want to do if it's something you really DO want to do. Aight I've mouthed off enough lemme holla....
