What made you start smoking?

Just curious, was it peer pressure, curiousity, seeking an escape from a bad situation?

I started when I was younger at about 17 peer pressure and curiousity. plus a little rebellion. I had a bad experience and stopped for a long long time, ok been over 20 years cause that experience was so bad for me.

Now I'm in a new relationship with a wonderful man that I trust completely and he smokes so, I know I'll be venturing into it again. But my reasons this time are different than when I was younger. I want to just relax and have fun with him and enjoy smoking again.

I was just curious why you all started.

I started when I was seventeen at toward the end of my junior year in high school. My two frineds who I knew smoked invited me to come hand out and then just busted their sack out in front of me. A bunch of people I knew smoked and I guess I just wanted to see what all the hype was about. It took a few tries but after I got baked, I never looked back.

Thanks Chronic, yeah was friends for me too, and I enjoyed it, til I had either something mixed with the weed that day or whatever. Then I couldn't wait for that high to end.

First time I tried it I was seeking an escape really. Funny thing was that I had no idea how well it would do that. Ever since its really just been to relax and unwind after a long day and I love the way it broadens my prespective on things.

First time I smoked was when I was 17. All my friends did it and they kept asking me to try it. I had decided that I was going to do it, but the fact they kept asking every day made it fun to tell them no a lot. I ended up holding out for about 2 months just for the hell of it and than finally I was over at a friends house, no one asked, so I just asked if anyone had any, I wanted to try it. Than I proceeded to laugh the weed out of the makeshift bowl.

I first smoked when I was 26 when I started dating my current boyfriend, a big fan of the herb. He and I both get anxiety attacks but I have health insurance and he doesn't... gotta love American republicans, phooey... cannabis helps him a lot and I tried some and found it to be very relaxing and pick up where my more mainstream med (Celexa) leaves off.
The strains I grow are predominantly Indica and relaxing for this reason.

I Had a friend who had a stammer used to smoke to relax.
I had a few with him & since I was always hyper active found that it helped me aswell. It was my choice & still is my choice to smoke

I had a drag of a few joints with friends when i was 15, never felt anything.
Started to learn about drugs properly came accross pot again.
Bought some for a camping session, now been toking for a year or so.

curiosity was my main reason and cuz it was at this girls party and every1 was doing it and i was like ok pass tha joint lol

It was a warm autumn afternoon, I was about 11 or 12 at the time. A friend comes next to me and says,"Andrew, come look at this big bug". Instead of a bug, he pulls out a sack of weed. Later on after we are in teh car, he is like we are going to smoke this whether you like it or not. I finally gave in, and at about 9:30 that night, we were in the middle of a Boy Scout camp field lighting a joint. I didn't get high, but I thought I did. Ever since then I've LOVED it.
