    predictable wilting

Here's the deal: I'm growing in soil and recently, every evening (a few hours before the lights go out- im in veg stage right now) my plants wilt. But by the morning, they look just fine. Heat is fine, and I only water about every second or third day. What's with the mood swing? lol Seriously, why are they doing this? They seem to be very healthy in every other aspect.

when you say 'wilt' do you mean they droop? or fall off, one of the first things i learnt about growing weed, is that it sleeps.. maybe not like us, but they definately rest in the night, i also noticed they grow more at night, like they collect energy from light, and at night, they burn that energy up, and use it all to make space for more, at least thats my theory.. plants do sleep though, the leaves in the day will be pointed up, and at night, they will rest their little muscles and go droopy, they also produce co2 at night, so they must be doing something very different in the night-time, all my plants go to sleep, and i find they dont like loud music or wind (fans) when they sleep, just like humans..

hope that helps, at least u kno its nothing serious, happy growing!!!

    You probably need more ventilation.
They use CO2 in day and emit it at night... your gases can get 'off' at the end of the day cycle when the plants have depleted the available CO2 in the room.
Get another fan in there, problem solved.

My outdoor plants used to do that in the evening and be fine by morning. I really do think they are just resting their leaves. They work hard all day and don't even get a lunch break!

I think outdoor plants are a bit different... you get dewfall overnight so if they wilt in the day they get a little moisture to perk them back up at night... the more controlled environment indoors- constant humidity- that doesn't apply.

my ventilation is pretty good- when the lights are off I don't have any fans on them, but I leave the closet doors open. They start to droop before the lights turn off (when the fans are still on) so i dont think it's a ventilation problem. I didn't know that some plants sorta "sleep" like that though, so that's probably all it is. thanks for all ur help!
