Clones and Rooting
I have already successfully "raised" four clones, but they took ages to root. The day I saw roots poking out of their peat pots, also happened to be the day that I accidently overheated them :stoned: by leaving them outside in the sun for awhile. They looked like shit after that, but then a few hours later presto! roots! Is that a coincidence or does stressing them out help roots develop faster? I have six cuttings right now, so I was wondering what would be the best way to make them root faster? Try stressing them again?

BTW these clones are in soil. Were cut from plant, then recut under water. One aditional node is under soil level, rooting hormone #2 was applied to the plant. Then were then put into a humidity dome with 1 25W t5 above them. Increasing the like ever day or two. They are now at 4 25W T5's above em.
The lid is taken off at least twice a day, sometimes 3. They are misted every few days.Great website www.beansandbarley.com

No stressing them out will not make them root faster, giving them a controlled environment where they have good temps and good moisture and not water logged soil, and proper soil that doesn't turn into mud, soil that is aerated with something like perlite will help them to root properly, it usually takes 10 to 14 days to root in soil, so if you want faster results then use a bubble cloner.

thanks for advice. the heat stress happend on day 17 so i guess they had root systems and we stimulated root growth by drying them out.
