Cloning Question
That's it, in a nutshell. How you accomplish this will affect your results. Rooting hormone is fantastic, but not completely necessary. Some people can get roots in just tap water (I'm not one of them, lol).

She should be totally vegging and you can withhold Nitrogen for a little while before making your cuts. Give her plenty of water a couple hours before you cut branches.

Cloning Question
the starts must be misted or sprayed with water frequently, but don't water the soil ... don't allow the leaves to dry out ... the plant will concentrate on building the root system if the leaves stay moist ... (I've only clone a couple times, but that is what I read about cloning) ... nurseries, hardware stores, etc.. sell rooting aids, such as Rootone powder or gel, Schultz 'Take Root' powder, etc ... these are rooting growth hormones, quite cheap, and I recommend it ... my clones looked limp and dead for 2 weeks, I almost gave up, but I kept spraying them ... and then suddenly, they stood up and thrived ... surprise ! ...

Cloning Question
When you can get a good chunk of branch or terminal shoot without killing the plant.
I recommend Clonex gel over powders... much easier to deal with.

Cloning Question
You can even take the whole top right off the plant... like the tip plus 2 nodes.
I'd leave at least 5 nodes so it doesn't die.

Cloning Question
You can top your plants making one shoot split in two, so you could get a mother, Top the fuck out of it and get thousands more clones from it in a shorter amount of time. Although taking too much at once can fuck the plant up like most people know and send it into shock.
