    Apartment Grow

    Alright guys,

Curious if using some space in a walk-in closet would be possible. Now I can't think of any ways to run ventilation as I can't drill any holes since it is a apartment. Hydro was going to be the choice, but starting to think that soil will be easier in a closet.

Anyone got any ideas on how to vent out odor? Saw a ionizer online for $75 and thought about that to help with, other than odor that is the only obstacle with venting. Plan on using a 250-watt HPS for flowering, and a combination of 4' flouro tubes, two 75-watt daylight CFLs.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am also considering a little box that can be made from 2x4s and that panda film plastic for light proofing. If you can help with the hydro issue too that would be sweet as I would rather do it that way.

    Respect.

you can drill holes...just just buy a wall patch kit when you need to fill it back in...that how everyone does all these apartment grows where they dont even live there...its just like a big grow operation

Hey man, thanks for the idea. I didn't even know they made wall patch kits. I will just need to find the exact color of the paint used. One more question though.

When drilling I shouldn't go all the way out, just maybe to break through the wall then exhaust out there? Any ideas?

I am in an apartment also. You need to grow in a contained area. You can use the closet if you intend to dedicate the closet solely to growing. Or you need to seperate your growing area from other stuff. There are tons of little issues along the way. I PROMISE.

Venting CAN be simple. Do not buy an ionizer. Buy a carbon air filter canister. They are about $75 and you will have to vent the area through that. With an inexpensive fan... You can buy them online or at most local grow suppliers...

The carpet WILL be an issue. I would just cover it with a tarp to keep bug problems down. Then just TAPE all the way around the perimeter to keep it sealed.

THE MAIN THING IS: Be able to move your grow in FIFTEEN minutes. NO EVIDENCE LEFT BEHIND. No holes in walls, etc!!!

once you get past the physical problems of your grow and solve those ,then the mental part of your grow begins. The urge to show off your grow to your friends will become overwhelming.Remember this: every time you multiply the ammount of eyes that have seen it or know about it....you multiply much more risk of getting busted.

If you have the room in the closet I would throw up a wordrobe cabinet up in there so you never have a problem with inspections. What floor do you live on?

    Highseekerz.

Righteous, appreciate the advice. I am also digging bluebears' suggestion about a wardrobe closet in there, or maybe even just a storage closet from lowes or home depot. Will the plastic be a problem? Could you give me some links to the $75 carbon filters? Say I use a closet, do I just have the air venting out of it go through the carbon filter on its' way out?

The only big issue I have with a storage closet is that I want to use bubbler buckets. but I can probably use the short rubbermaids for vegging/cloning. I only want to have a plant or two going at once, no more than three. Its just for me to be in good supply.

liek homedepot and target and shit they sell lil cabs, kind ament for the garage im guessing, really thick plastic, but youd have to really light proof it. smell is the hardest thing for me at the moment....weed is an unmistakeable scent i hate it lol

i cant have the noise of a powerfull fan so i dont have enough power to blow though the carbon filter i made....so basically i have air freshners alll over now, it helped, plus bounty sheets helped alot lol

just think how cool it would be if plants grew like pumpkins, then you could grow them under your bed....you can have the perfect setup lol i wish

    goodluck
