Why the Bear is down.
To those who have shown interest in my loss yesterday. Two friends, one who was a grade school friend of about 20 years, got into an altercation and one shot the other and then fled the seen, when he was running he was hit and killed as well. Have lost over a dozen childhood friends in my relatively short life, none to natural causes, all violent deaths, one girl friend was gunned down when she was 16 and pregnant, future sports athlete shot in the back, friend shot 27 times and the list go's on.
Life is too short to run around like a mad man, some times anger steels into our hearts before we even know it and we react upon it, but most of the times that act can not be recalled and the damage is often unrepairable. I myself am a victim of the streets and have a permanent disability and am only 1 of 3 from a large group of childhood friends who are still living. Have had to face other losses in my life as well that impacted me for almost a decade of separation from loved ones and controlling powers over my daily activity, and that time can not be recalled, altered or redeemed.
Don't take your family, freedom or friends for granted.
Love, The Bear

A very touching and heartfelt posting Bear. I know that I'm new to this site and am having my own problems fitting in most times. But I do know of like losses in my life. Trust in the power of positive thinking and keep doing what your doing by your presence here , and that is helping others get what they want. It's been said by a man wiser than myself that if you help enough people get what they want , you'll indeed get what you want. May the God of your choosing bless you......Dee

that's Horrible. I know it's not the same but one of my best friends growing up became a huge fucking junkie and He ODed on heroin. He was in a coma for a long ass time, and got out but he's a crack friend with half a brain at this point.
Life is rough, keep on trucking fellow Bear!:rastasmoke:

Bear,
I've seen from your postings here that you really do care about folks.Well...folks care about you too...even when you might doubt that.
I had young man that worked for me not all that long ago. Damn good kid...had his faults like the rest of us but would work his ass off for me.He helped my business tremendously because he would do all the things that I asked him to do without much question. I always paid him when i was supposed to and paid him well. He told me when he first went to work for me that he was trying to make a new life and a new start for himself. He did a lot toward that end ,but he drowned one summer afternoon because he was being just enough of a kid that it killed him.I think about him quite often and I miss him....but....his life was his own and not mine to control because if it was , he'd still be here....I don't know your loss personally but I do think I can relate on my own level. It hurts like hell , but with time , it does ease a bit , if only a bit. My prayers are with you......Dee....by the way ...that kid was 24 years old

Thanks for all the words and prayers Deejay2163, B Bear and Reaper. Death and los is something that all can relate to, but unfortunately we forget how quick and sudden it can come in every shape and form.
This board, for me is a part of me now, and I hope that everyone's hopes and dreams come true in their lives. All of us have taken on this journey for one reason or another and quickly start to understand that it is a commitment and as we all share that commitment, I am always willing to help in anyway possible. Sometimes I may sound critical, humorous or bothersome, but at the end of the day I just want to help as many folks as I can.
I hope that as we go on tomorrow, and the day after, we may try to give a little extra thought to our loved ones, kids, grandkids, spouses even that dog that aint been out for a walk in a month. Roses, a cartoon, dog bones cost a lot les than a sack and the memory of them can last allot longer, so just try to keep what I am saying in mind, and I will try to keep it in mind when I put my little girl down tonight for bed and she says, "Daddy can you tickle me.".
Adieu
