    Nevada and Colorado ammendments

Ive been reading about these two states making the ballot for a month or so and Im really excited. I wanted to hear the opinion from someone who lived in that state. Whats your opinion and do you think that its a possibility for it to be legal to carry up to an ounce for someone over 21. Im crossing my fingers.

I don't live in those states, but I definitely find this very interesting, and am very suprised its not talked about here more often.

I always read the news on the homepage, and in Nevada (the more important of the two states, because marijuana will be regulated and sold legally in shops), it was being said that it is looking good to being passed, and if not, it will just be added to the ballot every year until it does lol!

But, the most important thing I think, it will still be illegal on a Federal level, and will they allow this?

well i am from colorado, and pot is already legal in denver, but the problem with that law, and all like this, is that state and federal law overrides city or county law, so even if they pass, people are still persecuted in the same way, but at least it is a step in the right direction!

In an ideal world, it would not be illegal. The original US Constitution gives states precedent over federal government. But we all know that thing in America don't work like they are supposed to (point in case-marijuana laws).

even if it does pass, which i doubt it will, Cities will lose Federal Funding if they fail to arrest people for Posesson violations, and I highly doubt they will risk Federal Funding so a few people can carry weed on them. The only reason this is on the ballot is because you can get any issue put on a ballot if you collect a few signatures.

I couldn't disagree more with you. They're violating the same federal law by allowing their citizens to smoke, grow, possess, and obtain legally for medical necessity. What would be the difference in the states allowing all citizens regardless of medical need or not to at least possess and consume marijuana? Nothing? That's my guess. I really think Nevada would take the $45 an ounce tax and to satisfy the people's will for marijuana to be legal, over bullshit federal funding..once a few states enact this, the federal government will fall to it's knees...because once it happens, there will be so much publicity to marijuana...And I highly doubt people are going to say the same things about it when everyone is allowed to be around others legally while stoned...and once again, any time I read one of your posts it makes me think you're an anti-pot.

Nevada MPP activists are requesting a showing of strength in Nevada on Tuesday for Question #7, legalization and taxation of cannabis for over-21 users ... just show up on a street corner with a VOTE YES ON QUESTION #7 sign ... I'm driving over to Reno Tuesday, to add my obnoxious presence ...
