I just realised that LMFAO ROFL ROFLMAO and ROFLMFAO and m8 and b4 all make me incredibly angry.

LOL, u cba brb and bk are really the only acceptable forms of abbreviation.

I always type out all my words.. never use abbreviations. I understand 'LOL, LMAO'.. use those all the time. But that's it.

Me too. Well, not really. I don't mind the abbreviations so much as I mind the poor grammar and the misspellings. Now, typos are one thing, but to constantly screw up stuff and then not proofread your message just bothers me a bit.

Capitalization at the beginning of sentences.

Punctuation.

Spelling.

I have thought about it a great deal and I've realized that I can't change anything, but it does sadden me that the education system has failed so many of you.

So MANY of the spelling errors could easily be fixed by using a spellcheck function (this site should have one built into its reply boxes).

Other spelling errors are simply due to a lack of PAYING ATTENTION. It gets to the point where people replying to a post directly above them misspell a correctly spelled word when they could simply look UP and find the correct spelling.

HOW do you misspell the title to a new thread? Don't you LOOK at what you are posting?

I know that many of you can't type with all of your fingers because you've never had a typing class (or if you have, you screwed around during class because of a horrible, underpaid teacher), therefore, you "hunt & peck" while typing and don't look at the screen while typing.

This can be fixed by simple proofreading.

Now, I'm not saying that I'm perfect. Not by any means. I make typos, comma splices, dangling prepositions and all that crap sometimes. Worse when I'm tired or really stoned, I suppose, BUT come on.

We are all on here because of our similar interests. This interest is persecuted in most countries and propagandized (see that's not a word, probably) to make us look like unintelligent, unproductive members of society. One large step towards removing the stigma attached to this herb is to portray yourselves as just the opposite.

What I mean is that it is very hard for people to believe that Cannabis ruins the brain cells and creates degenerate youth incapable of carrying on intelligent dialouge when you don't give them more reason than necessary.

Many people, including myself, think less of people who don't take the effort to portray themselves in a decent manner. Some people can't spell well & some can't type well, but this is NOT an excuse for these HORRIBLE posts. Use spellcheck, proofread, stop being so lazy that you can't hit the freaking backspace key. People will respect you more.

There are some people on this site that I have seen post some really insightful and intelligent comments only to have it ruined by horrible spelling and lack of capitalization or punctuation.

I sometimes find myself typing abbreviations, but then I almost always go back and type in the full word because it bothers me to leave it like that.
