I think marijuana can be used two ways.

One as an intoxicant- almost like liquor in that it can "fuck you up". That's when it's good to be smoking with lot of people when you're like barely awake chinese eyed and gone.

Spiritual medicine/stress relief. Doesn't it just feel good to spark up a doobie? It's just about feeling the vibe and releasing stress. I find that smoking alone is best for that. When I've had a bad day or something and I go hit a vaporizer and turn on cartoons or something it can help me see the bigger picture and chillout. It's a good release, not neccessarily about getting "intoxicated"
