Anywhere between 60 to 150 dollars, but more often closer to the higher figure.

Actually, I was converting (badly) from my currency, I know lights cost roughly the same in my non-defined for security reasons European country, and its probably closer to 200-300 USD.

Well, I just ordered an extra 400w ballast for $44, AGrowMax altra blue bulb $59, and an extra 1000W HPS ballast $105, total shipping, $91. The ballasts don't come with hoods, I already have hoods, but they do have the socket and coards and everything is new, no rebuilt stuff and they have packages with hoods and lights. 2 year warranties as well.
Let me know if you want the hook up.
PS if you order from EBay, try not to use Papal, just send the money order and wait it out, and that is if you have to order from EBay at all.

If you don't mind doing some wiring I went to an industrial light store paid about 130 for a ballast kit with a bulb I had an old mercury vapor light that I took the socket out of or would have been about $15 more
