So my mom has something fucked in her elbow, along with some scartissue. She says its classified as chronic pain or whatnot, so i "smoothly" suggested her getting medical marijuana. She looked and me and laughed and said no, but i really want her too

that would be pretty badass if she got one, I've never been to cali, but from what I hear those dispensaries are the equivalent of heaven on earth. I'll cross my fingers for you...although either way, there is not chance in hell that you could ever go into a dispensary with your mother.

Well its just the idea of her smoking, then me just casually end up smoking with her. I wouldnt touch her stash, as i hope she wouldnt touch mine. but maybe we could match bowls? haha

Hi, I'm more in your generation than your daughter's. I'm 59 and a teacher's aide in special education. Dear, get the recommendation! Cannabis can do wonders for pain. I was attacked by a playmate with a hammer when I was 3. I suffer from migraines and pot gets rid of them if I smoke it every day. I have been legal (not that being illegal stopped me) for over a year now. I've used cannabis for 40 years now. In California, it is easy to get a recommendation. You don't really need a card or anything that would put you on any watchlist. There is just no earthly reason for you to hurt. Get the recommendation, try the pot and if it doesn't work, no harm done! Let it lapse at the end of the year. It helps my arthritis, and I shattered my elbow at age 8. It hurts during winter, but pot, once again, helps. I can't guarentee that it will help you as it has helped me, but isn't it worth a try? In addition, what is really cool is that it will prevent the amaloid plaques that ALL Alzheimer's sufferers have. My brain is my livelihood- and Alzheimer's scares the pants off of me! I've used cannabis for 40 years, and all that it has done is make me a sweet and gentle person. (Not exactly what they told us way back when, in drug ed) It won't mess you up and it may free you from pain. Smoking is bad for you (and your daughter), so consider getting a vaporizer. It gives the benefits of cannabis without the harms of smoking. I smoke a lot to ward off the headaches, I had quite a "toker's cough". Two weeks after getting a little $139 Vapor Brother's vaporizer, my cough went away! Since you will be using cannabis for medical purposes, you may as well go the healthiest route! With a vaporizer, you use about 1/2 the pot compared to smoking, your lungs stay clean, there is no smell to speak of, and with a a V.B., you can put down the mouthpiece and just let it sit for 10 minutes while the pot just sits there waiting. It doesn't waste pot! Plus, what's left over can be reused in brownies. At the very least, your trying pot, as an experiment, will only deepen the relationship that you have with your daughter. My recommendation is to fire one up with your loving daughter- it might help and it won't hurt. :thumbsup:
