sexing plants and returning to veg.

"Should I force flower my plants to determine sex, then revert them to complete vegetative growth once the sex is known?

No, forcing flowering to determine sex, then reverting to vegetative growth stresses the plant, delays the eventual harvest and causes the plant to stretch unnecessarily.

The better course is to either flower numbered clones or to observe preflowers in vegetative growth. "

^^ should my friend abort sexing his plants (its been 4 days of 12/12), and if so, how long do the plants grow in veg state before you can pre determine sex without switching around the light cycles?

look for a single spur at the branch unions.this is how the males show themselves before full blown flowering.

I dont know thats thats 100% accurate. Ive had two plants that have had the spurs at the stem junctions and they were both 100% female. I dont think there is any way to tell other than preflowering/flowering the plant.
