So, the stereotype for stoners says that they're wicked slow and make bad grades. I know a few frequent smokers who are doing quite well in schooling, and I also know of ones who, basically, should just drop out. I havn't had much experience with smoking still very recent, but what I find rather odd, is that lately I've become even more lazy (and I already kinda am) and I work half as hard, but dude! My grades have been increasing, I kind of don't understand it. Lately, I've been finding myself drinking more coffee as well because I've just been so tired lately, and I've heard caffine can aid concentration.
My point being: Can cannabis make you smarter?
...or is it mostly just the caffine, or both, or just plain coinicidence/chance?strobelight27 Reviewed by strobelight27 on . Not smarter literally, but it opens your mind to think in ways you never have before. Mainly the right side of your brain that is in tune with creativity, and coming up with ideas. This can be a good thing in ways...I'd say most musicians probably use marijuana (we know all rappers do lol).
I'm guessing your in high school? When I first started smoking I got a little lazy too, I think it's just your body adjusting...but after awhile, it'll go away, and you'll be back to normal. Just keep it in moderation if you can.

But i make sure i get my school shit done, but i do feel tha lasyness and i also sleep a lot. A friend of mine made valadictorian(sp?) in high school, and she was my blazing buddy at the time. Me on the other hand dropped out, but it wasnt cause I was too concerned with getting stoned, just wasnt feelin school. But I got my GED and im making pretty good money now, better then her even, but shes about to get her bacholeors in engineering so shes gonna have to provide my retirement home when im old. But I still wish I could do high school all over again.

MODERATE smoking of cannabis can make you smarter! (also note that more pot is not better when it comes to IQ!) http://www.cmaj.ca/cgi/content/abstract/166/7/887 I am 59, and a MMJ user. Think of me as the Granny you wish you had! lol I'm well on my way to getting my BA in Psychology. I presently work as an aide in special education, but I work as a private tutor, too. I got my AA with honors in my 50s. I wrote most of my school papers blazed (as you kids put it), but I "cleaned them up" and added to them, while straight. Read your text books straight the first time, then stoned while taking notes. You will mentally connect all kinds of interesting stuff that you didn't see before during your straight reading. Because your short term memory is kind of shot when you're high, the note taking is necessary! My business is teaching kids to learn, so you might want to try my methods. Unless you are a math genius (I'm not), do math straight and reward yourself afterwards.(Knowing there is a joint waiting after that last problem, is a great incentive to finish.) That worked far better for me, than attempting math stoned, but everyone is a bit different. The thing to remember is to get things done early! The kids in college thought I was crazy for starting my term papers about 2 weeks into the class. BUT when finals came around, I had my term paper finished and could concentrate just on studying for finals. Everyone else was going crazy trying to do two things at once. NEVER PUT OFF AN ASSIGNMENT!!! Get it done and then "go out to play"! Your grades will go up, if you stop procrastinating! You will have no more of those "rushed" essays that get you the lower grades! Get a vaporizer, if you can -the Vapor Brother's types are pretty good. It doesn't smell like smoking pot -almost no smell, it's a lot healthier, and you need about 1/2 the pot to get high! It's a "No Brainer"!
Have you finished your homework yet? :stoned: If not, get busy!
