This girl in my school started a poll that you were to sign to prevent expulsion of students if they were caught in the possession of drugs, with an in school suspension or something of those sorts. I think this is a good idea, expulsion should only be required for harm caused to other people or their property.
Do you guys think this is a good idea? And if it is, what are the ods that the school will actually pay any attention?

You are too young to be using any drugs if your in k-12 in my opinion. When you're that young, experience all that you can completely sober. You only have that part or any other part of your life once.I know I sound like an old fogey because I am.I've worked all my life and have gotten to the point that I can kick back a bit and relax and spend my time stoned if i want.But I will tell you this , and you take this anyway you want....Had I been more serious about school when I was there ,I wouldn't be workin now because I wouldn't have to.Dessert for the most part I think should come a bit more toward the end of the meal rather than the 1st course.What I just said probably doesn't mean much and I'm sure it wasn't what you wanted to hear ,but it is the truth.Spend your time wisely while in school.It will make a huge difference in the end.There will be plenty of time to smoke your weed whenever the time is right.Smoke it when you can relax and enjoy the full beauty of it and relax while doing it.Don't reduce yourself to wondering how you're gonna come up with the rent.Do your job in school,earn your stripes and then enjoy the fruits of your labor.It'll mean more then.Trust me on that .

I am an adult, and if I got caught carrying weed at work, I'd be fired. It's not right, but that's the way things are. This petition in the school isn't going to change anything as far as their policies are concerned. The last thing schools want is a reputation for scandals and drug useage due to illegal activity by students. Detention and/or suspensions would be appropriate for porno, breaking dress codes, acting out, etc. Illegal substances are a whole different ball game.

In my school, they don't suspend us anymore for possesion. They evaluate just to be sure that we don't have a drugs problem and offert us some help if we need it. It greatly helped everyone because a few years ago, our city has a big problem (almost 50% of 13-20 years old ppl were on speed) and now almost everyones stop those shitty pills.
