yeah I saw him throw it on the ground but I along with everyone else probably didn't realize what he even did until at least 2 seconds after he did it because it was so fast and like I said before its easy for you a spectator to sit here and say he threw it on the ground because you're mind isn't racing and its not going frantic as if this moment could be your last. But when you do get in that situation any sudden move will create a fast reaction with you're gun. Why do you think cops get anal when someone casually gets out of their car? It's because in the past they proably had a bad experience with it. They don't know who they're dealing with and if its the wrong person walking out of the car it could be the cops last night. So please just stop embarassing yourself because you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Please you have no idea who I am or what I have been through. For all you know I could be a war hero. I have had my fair share of moments that I thought could be my last. Those cops aren't worth shit. They killed their own dog if that tells you something. They already had it in their mind he might shoot them if they let the dog go, so why did they let him go? If someone is going to have the power to end someones life I think they need a much more then the little time they spend at the academy. They only had to worry about one point not many like if in a firefight. They had ALL their concentration on him and they still couldn't make that distinction..... so stop embarrassing your self by comparing apples and oranges.

I'm sorry friend, but you're a dumbass. Iris is right. This guy is sitting there, claiming he has a gun. Already, if you're in that situation, you don't tell the cops SHIT, you don't move a fucking muscle or even breathe without their say so. Know why? They have a lot more guns than you. This guy is in no position to make demands of the police, it's not like he has a hostage or something. The only lives he has in control are his own and perhaps one or two others if he had actually had a gun at the time. Did they need to shoot him? Of course not. Did they need to let the dog go? Yes, yes they did. This all boils down to one man being a complete fool and thinking he can sit there and take on the police because he's a tough guy.

He's literally sitting there DARING the police to advance or send the dog. "I dare you." < Exact quote. This guy deserved everything he got. Clearly suicide by police. I only feel bad for the dog. That stupid bastard decided to roll the dice and he lost, real bad.

It's really sad when even I have to say this, coming from someone who is against most police activity and big government. If I was one of those cops, and that guy made such a quick move after claiming he had a gun with 13 rounds in it, I'd have put more rounds into him than anyone else. Oh yeah I forgot, killing a police dog counts as a police homicide, so they were essentially protecting one of their own.

Know the best way to diffuse that kind of situation if you're that guy? Say "I'm putting the gun down." move VERY, VERY slowly, and do what you're told.

I am not saying the guy was right for saying he had a gun and threatening to shoot the dog, but the police were certainly wrong for not using their so called "training" and make a clear distinction that could of saved a obviously very troubled young man's life. Why don't you think about that before you call me the dumb ass.

Clear distinction? Where is that, exactly? Would they have made that before or after he threatened everyone near him with a gun?

If you would take the time to read through the posts on this thread you would know the answer to that. The clear distinction was whether he was pointing the gun at them or if he threw it to the ground as he was trying to get away from the dog. Watch the video it is clear what he was doing. If you have any more questions I'm sure my previous posts would answer it....

Oh no sir, I read the posts and watched the video several times. It doesn't matter WHAT he was doing, it's how. He moved too fast. Afraid of getting bit by the dog? Guess all that shit talking about shooting it doesn't really stack up after all. Maybe he should have been prepared instead of likely thinking "Oh shit, they actually let the dog loose!" I guess taunting the police can actually cause them to call your bluff. Whodathunkit.

Natural law bit that guy in the ass, hard.

The cynical side of me finds it funny, as I love it when people who keep talking shit, oblivious to how fucked they are, keep provoking, then are startled when their bluff is called.

The guy had it coming, you can't wait and be like "Don't shoot until we're certain he's going to fire bullets at us. We can take that extra time, because our lives don't matter as much as protocol even though we've been threatened by a potentially armed and dangerous man".

    Please.
