I personally don't understand the point of being reborn.
If you have no memories of who you used to be
then your reborn self
is basically someone else.

Life after Death?
some of my thoughts.
Life after death is a paradoxical statement. What is usually meant is existence after death (might seem like i'm being picky but it makes a difference in arguments)
I am, as probably everyone, very tied to my body. If I work up one day in another body I wouldn’t really consider this person (my mind their body) to be ME as I know my self now.
So say your body dies, and poof a person with the same mind as you is created in heaven with the image of the same body. Many people would think this would still be me. I don’t.
If this pseudo-me was created in heaven what is preventing God, if he created me there, from creating another me… nothing. So say he creates two of me, well the second cant be me because there is only one of me. And the second was created in the same manner as the first so I guess the first isn’t me either. And thus no me in heaven.
This is one reason I do not believe in this form of existence, heaven, to be plausible.Great website www.beansandbarley.com

Death feels like life did before you were born

Life after Death?
It's an incomprehensable thought to think about, after someone's death.... to realize that individual doesn't exist anymore. And except within our meager history and what trivial cause and effect they might have had, that they might as well have not existed at all.
Or to look at yourself and think 'one day I won't exist anymore'. And if I won't exist then why in the hell do I even exist now? What's all this bullshit about?
What I do know is that one day we will, for the most part, overcome death. Either we'll plant our brains in machines, or grow spare bodies...who knows. All I do know is that it's inevitable.
And if we can and will eventually do it, it seems to me that nothing is new under the Sun, and there's a strong possibility that someone, or something has already done it.
Now what's intriguing about that thought is what would a being be like after, say..a 10 million year lifespan? ...or 10 billion? What would you know and what could you do? Would you be so advanced that you can piss around with creating Universes? ..popping Bing Bangs just for jollies? Would you have an antfarm called Earth just to kill the bordom an watch it grow? (like seamonkeys...lol)
Of course, I'm just playing with ideas. The goofy mutherfuckers will come on in a minute and claim they know all about life after death and what it's all about, I'm sure. But what it all boils down to is there's never been anyone on this green Earth who knows one damn thing more than you do, wherever you're at right now, sitting there in your chair, wondering about it.

I think if everyone was going to live for ever then we'd be a hell of a lot more concerned with the environment. Because it would affect us, not our kids
