Has any one tried to eat just weed
while I can't remember the details, or scientific terminology, I have frequently read there is a substance on raw weed, that will cause severe gastric sickness ... crock-pot it, or boil it down in butter or vegetable oil, with water, make cannabutter, and use in recipes :smokin:

Has any one tried to eat just weed Has any one pulled out all their stems and ate just a gram of dank, not mixing it with any brownies just straight up eating there bud? I would imagine it would be pretty hard to swallow and probally not go down to smooth. Just wondering.... Rating: 5

you can just eat weed. but you must mix with some oil or butter or even milk to release the thc.
hmm. what if you dipped your bud in milk, then lightly simmered it and ate it. i bet it would get you high.

Doesn't eating just plain weed not do anything at all?

Doesn't it have to be prepared in some way for your body to actually be able to digest the THC?

Just to clear a few things up,
Dogs and Weed : An animal's digestive system is MUCH more efficient at breaking down raw plant matter, we have "evolved" to eat cooked food. So much in fact our appendix is no longer used (a stupid example, I know...).
I would also conclude dogs have a much higher sensitivity to THC.
I made some THC/ghee for cooking, and one drop landed on the floor, which was licked up by my dog (20-25kg). He had no idea what was happening, then fell asleep for a few hours. Woke up and was acting wierd for some reason, I thought he might have been sick, but it turns out he was just EXTREMELY hungry... funny...
Marinol : synthesized d9-thc in sesame oil. As it is already in psychoactive form, and in a readily digestible oil, there is no need for heat to convert the non active components to the d9 molecule.
Eating bud: Different from person to person.
Humans digestive systems vary in efficiency from person to person, also depending on what you mainly eat.
Different strains also have different amounts of psychoactive components, oils and resin.
There can be really shit weed to eat, as it is low in the d9-THC,but will get you baked when smoked as heat will activate the non psychoactive cannabinoids.
Heat activation CAN make your bud stronger but it is not always the case.
Getting sick: Yes, but this is mainly the large leaves, as the thorns on them can irritate the stomach. (Well I read that here, and have no reason not to believe it, I have had a sore gut many times from eating bud)

I read that inorganic acids in cannabis must be decarboxyated in order to free up cannabinoids..200 degree oven for 10 minutes..also butter or another fat substance must be used to get through the stomach linning for the best results!:rastasmoke:
