    1000 HPS Hood

    Whats up guys!

Alright I just got a hood made with steel but it looks like a mirror. I hope it will act like mylar but I m scared it will cause hot spots or it will absorb the light. Pls someone correct me when using a mirror it will absorb 50% of the light instead of reflecting it right?

Also what is the best way to test the hood for hot spots and its reflective powers?

    Thanks guys!

Mirrors suck...use an adhesive spray and put some Mylar on that reflector.

just buy a can of high temp white spray paint and paint it.
while ive seen mylar used before also. just dont really think its safe if something happens to the ventilation would expect it to melt might even be a fire hazard.
