A question about credit/charge cards....

Ok, so I have decided that sometime in the near future, I will probably start a small (4 - 6 plant) growroom in a closet. I have the finances to buy all of the equipment needed. (lights, rockwool, pots, buckets, ph kits, etc.) I have one question however. I have heard many places to never buy these items with a credit or charge card, as the DEA buys the information from the suppliers. Now, I know that this is true, it is in no way inconceivable.

My question to this community is:
Is this just being over paranoid?
Do my purchases really need to be made with cash?
Remember, it is a very small operation.
Has anyone here ever done anything like I am planning with a card?
Anyone you know ever done anything like this with a card?
If so, what was the outcome?

The reason I ask is because it would be about 1000000000 times easier to just get the stuff off of the net.

Buy it with cash just to be on the safe side. I wouldn't risk it, no matter the size of the operation.
