hey all,

I was just listening to John Lennon's Imagine song. I never cared much for the bubblu pop sound of the Beatles, but Lennon on his own wrote some really beautiful songs.

After hearing that song, what do you think Lennon would think about the state of war in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Makes me wonder. He felt so strongly about war then, and the war now is televised and visual. Men getting decapitated on video, getting gunned down, shot in the head, blindfolded.....I wrote a song:

While you sit and manipulate, worry about your own pathetic, boligerant life
Cold steel. Knife in hand. End the life that had once helped
Warmth red. Blindfolded, from enemies, cannot see your fate coming
Whiteworld, muffled sound. I cannot hear or cannot feel anymore

Nothing matters, it's done
We're marching to the gates, one by one
Hellfire as I feel the heat
And the darkness comes to take me home

This new world is a blistering fuck
Watching my nemesis hold up their hate
Red spotted painting on the rust eaten floor
This is how it ends, this is what I choose to die for

Every word I wrote exactly how it came to mind last night. You figure out what it means.
