Lately, I've actually been playing classical style guitar. I learned basics in summer programs back home at the college and I learned the style of playing. I've gotton back into it, not classical music itself, just the style where you pick with your fingers and play softly and with contrast. I play it on this guitar I found at a thrift shop for $4. It had a broken neck, but I fixed it up and within 48hrs, it was like brand new.
Thats cool man, Classical is the way to go for school. I play a lot of technical metal like between the buried and me and shit like that, but I doubt I'd actually play that for an audition because I know most of the professors could care less about that type of music. Unless you're lucky and you're judged by someone who appreciates that style, your best bet is to stick with classical guitar since thats what most colleges are interested in, at least in the beginning anyway.
