1500th post .... my latest rant ...

for my 1500th post, I thought I'd do something a bit different, and just say hello to everyone ... I truly hope we can get our medical marijuana accepted worldwide, and do away with the harsh, arcane laws that lock up, and mistreat honest, decent people ... I also hope everyone, particularly the younger people, realize that this will likely never happen, if we don't clean up our act ... the 'dumb stoner' and 'street thug/dope dealer' images MUST be made a thing of the past ... politicians pay no attention to pot-smokers, they privately joke about how we are a non-existent voting bloc, that we are probably too stoned, to make it to the voting booths, and, since we are a bunch of lazy-ass stoners, we donate no money to their campaigns ... as much as you may detest politicians, MONEY TALKS ... no getting around it ... supporting groups such as MPP (Marijuana Policy Project), or NORML, etc. rquires cash .. they can't fly representative activists all over the country for free ... if you can't contribute your money, then contribute with your attitude and image ... present a decent, honest, 'good-citizen' aura to your neighbors and acquaintences ... good luck to all with your crops, and have a wonderful day ! ...

yes, I had read that earlier ... I'm pretty divided over the MJ 'dispensary' issue ... the very few 'dispensaries' I have knowledge of, are the phony 'front' dispensaries that have been on the TV news, busted for selling to anyone that walked in the door with cash ... I feel a medical MJ user can easily grow his own, or get it from a friend that grows, everybody knows at least one 'source', I suspect ... the medical MJ 'dispensaries' I have checked out, charged more $$ for herb, than the local street prices, which lead me to believe they are just in it for the money ... no surprise there, (my local liquor store was opened to turn a profit, too) ... either way, the crooked ones ruin it for everyone, and feed more fuel to the pot-haters ... :smokin:

I would agree 100% with these facts. However i do belive we have to take an extreme side of view. Because we cant sit in the middle and say Medicinal puposes only because that just makes me upset. I dont have an excuse for using mary j besides the fact that in my depressing life it brings me joy and excitment. Mary J my lover...lol. Ok, u talk about the "hoodlum" side of things, well thats because its illegal and desperate times call for deperate mesures. If i could go buy bud down the street i will, but if i have to venture into a dirty city i will, because we go where we can find it. I belive it is the governments fault for this and that there is more crime associated with pot because of the meer fact its illegal. If it were legal we would have no reason to hide or buy from the shady crack dealer. The image of pot users must be first let known to the pubic that it doesnt start crime, but it does revolve around it because what it is. I dont belive in supporting crime so i dont buy pot anymore, i do the econmical and depending how you look at it, more civilized way of obtaining it, grow. I dont support crime this way, i doubt a cop would ever look at it that way. Its just like the prohibition act. which is why i dont see how its not legal yet. from a gov stand point it would rid of money trafficing by crimelords, and they could tax it. Why give the money to the ppl who use it for crime.

I agree with both of you guys,but intill we can educate poeple that there is
more of advantage to legalizeing it and stop putting poeole in jail for some thing that god made not man. crime will go down some and the drug lords will not have a market for there billon dollare industry.And the DEA can spent our money on stopping the real drugs that are man made and cause more trouble
and crime.Where do you start.
