busteruk7 Reviewed by busteruk7 on 10-25-2006. My First Grow - Suggestions Please Hi, 2 days ago I planted 2 unknown bag seeds approx 1 inch deep in some potting soil. I then put the plantpot on a table next to my window and watered it. Today i read that the seeds shouldn't be planted as deep as I planted mine, so I dug them up, inspected them and planted them about 5mm deep in some new compost. When I looked at the seeds they had split and little white sprouts had appeared. I planted them sprout facing downwards. During the daytime there is usually alot of sun (i'm in Rating: 5

Thanks for the advice, I checked on them earlier (seeing as they are only buried a couple of mm's under the surface) and the shoot has grown 2cm overnight!

Is this good progress? And should I leave the shoot pointing downwards as it was?

if it was me i would slap that back in the boiler room and wait for the seed casing to come off then plant it root down
