Hair drug testing

Hi everyone,

I am a new member. I have a hair drug test in about a week. I haven't smoked any marijuana in over 4 months. I looked through the discussion boards and I have only found a few threads of people actually answering back if they passed or not after taking the hair test. Before I completely quit 4 months ago, I was a relatively light smoker (maybe once or twice a month). I will be sure and let everyone know how my test turns out, to help others whose situation is similar to mine.

Im pretty sure you've got nothing to worry about dude, 4 months is a hell of a long time and 1-2 times a month is barely anything

Hair tests can tell from six months ago. Althoug if you were that light a smoker I dont know, good luck.

it actualy all depends on how long your hair is... if its only an 1/8th on an inch long, it has shit from how ever long its been since your last hair cut... but if your hair is a foot long, it can tell you shit all the way back from yoour last hair cut...

This has absolutely nothing to do with this but on the discovery channel I saw this show. Basically this lady had been poisioning her husband slowly for like a year and finally killed him, and the scientist could tell almost exactely when she started puttin shit in his tea and how much, it was wild, just from a strand of hair.

Hair tests can detect the presence of drugs throughout the length of the hair. However, it becomes inaccurate after about the first 1 and 1/2 inches of hair from the scalp. This is about 3 months of growth. Because of this, the normally accepted standard in the U.S. is to only use the first 1 and 1/2 inches of growth and thus the last 3 months of possible drug use.

I have read on several websites that marijuana is of all drugs the least sensitive in testing with hair testing, even though with urine testing it is quite detectable within the first month of usage. Did anyone know that?

I took a hair test earlier this year. I frequently used many different substances at the time. I bought some three part hair treatment from a head shop and it was able to wash everything out but coke, which is sopposed to be the hardest to get out. so you should be fine w/ the amount you used and the time since then. The labs say that getting high 3 times over 90 days will cause a positive hair test result. You haven't smoked in 4 months and like I said they can only go back 3 months because it becomes inaccurate after 3 months because the chemicals in the hair begin to degrade. About the test being least sensitive for THC, I don't think that is right. This is from Quest and it is the levels they use for positive confirmation. If you notice, THC has the lowest threshold by far.
